The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. Deuteronomy 28:8

Imagine knowing that every endeavor you chose to do will be successful. Imagine living a life where the thought of failure never enters your mind. What kind of life would you live? How confident would you be? Do you know that this is possible for you? Yes, it is possible but we must not look to ourselves to achieve this but we must look to the Word of God.

The Word of God promises us that if we delight ourselves in the Word of God that everything we do will prosper. (Psalms 1:1-3) There are a myriad of scriptures that echo this same theme. If we elect to follow God’s precepts found in His word we are guaranteed to succeed in whatever we do. God even provided us with an example of this, by sending his son Jesus.

Can you recall anytime that Jesus failed? The only times I can recall when he failed to heal someone was not because of him, but the person(s) refused to believe and receive their healing. God will not violate our self-will. If we choose not to listen or obey what he tells us, then we are on our own. God has given us the gift of self will. It can work either for us or against us.

Jesus gave the secret of his success. It was simple. He only did and said what he saw God doing and saying. (John 5:19, 30, 14:10) Jesus understood that without God he could do nothing. He realized that it wasn’t his faith, willpower, or strength, but it was God’s faith, power and strength that were the guarantee to his success. Because of this he was able to speak to the wind and waves and they obeyed him, because His father was speaking through him. He could call Lazarus from the tomb after being dead for four days in complete confidence that he would be brought back to life. (John 11:38-44)

Jesus did the impossible because nothing is impossible with God; and he was in one accord with God. Whether it was feeding over five thousand people, with two fish and five barley loaves of bread, or walking on water. Jesus knew that as long as he was in God’s will it would be done. Some people may say well that was true for him, because he was the son of God.

But, Jesus passed this authority to his followers. Jesus told his disciples that everything that he did they could do also. (John 14:12) Before Jesus was crucified the told his disciples that they could ask God directly for anything and it would be granted in his name. (John 16:23) So, we have this ability available to us. We just have to believe and receive it.

It’s not about our faith but God’s faith. Our faith is limited, but there are no limits to God’s faith. That is why Jesus said if you have the God kind of faith and say unto this mountain be cast into the sea and don’t doubt it would be done as you have said. (Mark 11:22-23) If we are to walk in this kind of power we have to under the authority of the Word of God. We have to become less and Jesus becomes more. (John 3:30)
